I feel kept inside my own skin. Not stretchable, or elastic, but wedged between crooks and the folds --of how I think. I feel kept inside this harness that is my own skin. Mentally wrought and with…

A poem I had written for a recent art's event I read at and I thought i would share it with you all.  It doesn't really have a form as such as I wrote it to read it. Any feedback is welcome. Thanks…

Autumn Evening With Cool Drizzle

Woods.
Forest
shrugs her shift
off, her collar-
bones exposed. Fields drop
their quilted skirts. Thighs, knees,
ankles. Earth steps out. All soft.
Turgid hardnesses slip. Pooling
beside rimed brooks . Rusty gold, dusty
silver, purple-- can’t tell the difference,
the colors of her dress any more.
Shadows paint everything gray.
Monochrome. Single bird
chatters. Interrupts
winter’s windy
monotone.
Prelude.
Rain.

Hi,

I will be performing at the upcoming Gypsy Episode in the Woods, once it has been rescheduled.

In the meantime, I have a blog which contains some of my poetry and prose that I try to do on a regular basis.

Please, feel free to leave comments there, here or on the Facebook page.

Many thanks,
Chris Will Clark.

Hi Meg,

Sounds like a very interesting research subject to me. I bet you've found some odd material.

I did a brief bit of research on feral children, which was fascinating and disturbing at turns.

As you probably know, I have a new book out, Memoirs From the Asylum. I had sent a review copy out (at her request) to a reviewer. I got this email yesterday:
"I am having difficulty reading your book. I don't know that I can write a review because I don't know if I can finish it- at least right away.

I think the writing is smooth and the book is well written. I am sure there is much truth in the book but the fact that I have a sister that has many problems is just hitting too close to home for me. I am one of those visitors that show up a couple of times a week bearing gifts and wishing things were different. Now I wonder even more how she is treated when I'm not there."

I was struck that my writing was obviously powerful and evocative if a professional reviewer couldn't keep her emotional distance. In a way I think that's a great compliment. It also tells me that I have captured the reality of state hospital life.

Hey Eric, Battered Suitcase looks good. I'm going to print your story and have a read over the weekend.

Max, I enjoyed your delivery of your poems, on the two recent vids on your site. I particularly liked the Ben and Jerry poem, which the audience clearly enjoyed too. I wonder how you feel about that poem as the style was a contrast to the others. I also liked the way you introduced your poems. Thanks for sharing.

Two things: Here is a link to the trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGyl0JMTEJ4 My website is http://www.authorkenweene.com Obviously, I would appreciate any pr assistance you can give.
Which brings me to number two. I need a couple of decent reviewers who can read this book right away and who have a history of reviewing that makes their names recognizable. So if you want to volunteer, contact me on my regular email, Ken_Weene@Cox.net Thanks.

I don't know why but I can't seem to get into the swing of this group. I guess I haven't spent enough time just clicking around, but there's soooo little time to do that. I keep saying I'm going to spend time and I don't. Okay vow. Next email I get I will check it out and comment!

I've not used this much yet. I was in the Back in 5 Minutes anthology - my story was For Oscar, My Lover.

This is my website: http://somethingeveryday.tumblr.com - I've messaged the group as well so feel free to ignore one or the other, ha.

Please forgive me if I came off as trying to say we have to make any kind of rules or requirements. I wanted to share the other sites ways of encouraging everyone to participate. I for one will continue to try and read/comment on as many others as I can, hopefully it will catch on :-)
