In between the doors

Please forgive me if I came off as trying to say we have to make any kind of rules or requirements. I wanted to share the other sites ways of encouraging everyone to participate. I for one will continue to try and read/comment on as many others as I can, hopefully it will catch on :-)

Ron, I think we do need to interact more. As an author I want to interact with those for whom writing and reading are important. However, I don't want to make forced requirements. I have no idea how we can make this work other than to make it clear to one another what we expect.

I agree with Jesse and Kenneth, I belong to other sites and there is a rule that in order to post you need to respond to at least three other fellow posters. I believe we all need to hear from others. Constructive suggestions is needed as is praise. I hope everyone here on Little Episodes can put some more time and effort in making comments on other blogs and posts.
We have a wonderful forum, lets make it even better by giving support to everyone around us.

Jesse, it is a problem. As artists we need to publicize our work because we have to have sales or we cannot continue our artistic work. At the same time, we must recognize that most groups like this one are for interpersonal sharing. One rule I try to follow is never to allow my pr posts to become more than 1/10 of all my posts. One thing I've been trying to do is get people who have blogs to invite me as a guest blogger, which enriches their blog while giving me a new audience which might include a book purchasers or two. Obviously, I am determined to do the best I can when I guest blog for everybody''s sake. If you know of a blog that might want me to guest, please let me know. In the meantime I join you in hoping that boards like Little Episodes will cut us a little slack when we do some pr as long as we don't get excessive.

i posted on the blog, an article called "horns blowing" about the necessary task of self-promotion for folks, like myself who are pursuing their art on some professional level. It's a plea for friends to nor judge us harshly and to bear with us. i hope some of you will be kind enough to read it. i published it here, partly because i have perceived that self-promotion is not particularly well accepted here at Little Episodes.

Much congratulations to Little Episoedes gang for a very successful launch party.

Also, please allow my to humbly share my good fortune with you in that my novel manuscript, "Song of George/Portrait of an Unlikely Holy Man", was accepted just last Saturday for publication by All Things That Matter Press. They are a very special publisher whose focus is on the spiritually inspired. Another thing i'm noticing about them is that there seems to be a camaraderie among the authors.

thank you Kenneth, I had a Russian friend that would beat me up with this half empty half filled concept. I pondered many a brain cell to put my spin on it.

Ron, very cleverly expressed.

We must move forward with an open mind dismissing paradigms’ of old thinking, discarding philosophies based on stagnant ideas. We all must live in the reality of today while still holding on to the dreams of a better tomorrow…

Neither is the glass
half empty nor half filled.

The water is exactly
what I have always willed.

Twice as big as needed
the outside is for me

Not pessimist nor optimist
but pure reality.
